One of my favourite clubs was on Friday night, namely the Cobweb Club. The theme was “Spellbound” and we were encouraged to dress in something ghoulish, goblinish, fairytaleish or fantasy-related.
Since I wasn’t DJing this time, I could spend time on my costume and make-up. After much to’ing and froi’ng, I decided to go as an Evil Queen. Not the Disney Snow White one, not the Huntsman one, just a generic Evil Queen. Probably the best photo taken was by the professional photographer at the club, Brendan Macpherson.
Here are a few we took at home (click on any pic to see it full size):
PVC ballgown skirt & bolero with puffed sleeves: Artifice Clothing Canada
Black PVC corset with red ribbon trim: Deadlygirlz Corsets (sadly, they no longer make corsets)
Evil Queen crown: In Visible Light Enmore (with extra skulls sewn on by me)
Skeleton bone hand necklace used as headpiece: Kreepsville 666
Black collar with fluting & high collar: No:Wear Fashion Design Camden
Black shoes with spine heels: Dsquared2
Spine cuffs: Studio Alta Shinjuku, Rock gyaru store Fernopaa
Skull contact lenses: In Visible Light (see close up of skull lenses here)
There were quite a few Red Riding Hoods running round, but my fave was my friend Maddy’s look, seen here with Dom as the Big Bad Wolf:
I do love a good excuse to dress up. Have you been to any good clubs or parties lately where the costumes made it a memorable time?
You look incredible! There are no words to describe how much I love that outfit. I adore the way that you put your own spin on the Evil Queen character. It’s brilliant.
Why thank you ma’am 🙂 The crown, although only made of rubber, added a certain evil royal presence to the outfit.
you are SO FREAKIN ADOREABLE!!!!!! i wish i could hang out with you lol too bad i live in the outskirts of bumfuk England…lol i LOVE Camden!! im gonna have to go back soon…
Aww…I know a little about UK outskirt suburbs and how dire they can be. Rest assured when growing up I was in a very boring suburb in Sydney (but I wasn’t very goth/alternative then!) Hopefully your next visit to Camden won’t be too far away, and you can cheer yourself up with the pretties and the freaks 😉
