Dolly Kei style printed tights by Celeste Stein

This post I will focus solely on tights in floral, paisley, cherub and other dolly kei type designs. (See also my post on Dolly Kei ebay finds)

Here are some looks as worn by the Grimoire girls; the last one I took at the Virgin Mary store (she’s wearing Vivienne Westwood thigh highs)

I discovered a US company that has an amazing variety of designs, and in a great range of specifications as well. If you can’t find something you want here, there’s no hope for you. Many of them I find will work well into a dolly kei wardrobe, depending on how you co-ordinate, of course.

Celeste Stein

To start, you can choose to have your fave design printed on tights, leggings, thigh highs, trouser socks, or even scarves or car mats! Even just within one category, such as tights, you can choose from sheer tight, lycra tight, nylon tight, lurex tight, fishnet tight, or solid nylon/spandex tight. Phew!

But where they really come into their own is the huuuuuuuuuge range of designs offered. You can choose from categories, such as floral, paisleys, angels, or by colour…or just go exploring. While many of the ones I’ve chosen are quite “busy”, remember in sheerer stockings and fishnets, the impact will be reduced for a more subtle effect.

There are also more traditional paisleys and psychedelic ones.

And finally, some miscellaneous ones I liked:

There are also animal print designs, orientals, modern abstract, pin-up/Vintage looks, spots, stripes, psychedelic designs….you’re just gonna have to have a peek yourself. Oh, and check out her couture designs too.

Do you like any of the above? Do you know of any good sources for floral, lace and dolly kei patterned tights?

Of what does it remind you of?
    And thanks ;3

Btw, I can't seem to get this right. I don't get notified if you reply to me, and if I check the box for followup comments I get an email everytime someone is commenting on your post T+T

  5. Ooooh! I knew this was gonna be good, but hot diggity, woman! And Celeste Stein is a U.S. company too, which is great for me.

In other news, I’m pretty sure it’s New Years where you are, by now! Happy New Year!

  6. “If you can’t find something you want here, there’s no hope for you” LOL, that is so true, my god, there are too many to choose from! Tights are a girls best friend here in Melbourne and I can never have enough of them.
I have one style here–the blue-green miscellaneous one, in knee-highs. Love them!

  7. I was blown away the first time I saw these tights at a local alternative co-op store. I forgot the name and thanks to your post I am reminded once again. I jst came across your blog via Fuyume.net and I absolutely love every single one of your posts. 🙂

Look forward to hearing from you

  8. wow, talk about eye candy! i love the lovely designs…oh le sigh…

  9. I agree, this stuff is really inspiring and awesome. BUT, I placed an order a few weeks ago and have heard nothing from them. No email confirmation, no charge on my credit card, nothing. I even called them to find out what was going on and they assured me the order would be charged when shipped. Considering that they have such a fantastic product, they don’t seem to make themselves all that available. I’m curious what has been your experience with them or if you know who i could order from that carries a wide selection of her tights w/o going directly through CelesteStein.com

    thanks!

    • Hi, this is regarding Betsy’s comment..did you ever got your order? I’m just curious because I’ve LOVE the socks on her website, but I haven’t placed an order…namely because I don’t see shipping charges listed, and your comment about the order taking so long to ship makes me a little leery too. So if you don’t mind me asking, what were the shipping charges and how long did it take to get your order?

      • Yes, I myself have never ordered from them so have no experience., and would likewise like to hear from those who have. I ended up buying some from japan on my recent trip, but the tights were quite expensive!

  10. Hi, I was wondering if you could me if you know if Celeste Stein ship internationally by chance. I’ll really appreciate if you can share any relevant information. Thank you very much in advance! ^__^
