I mentioned Atelier Boz in my recent post about the collaboration with Black Peace Now. How could I not also showcase some of related brand Atelier Pierrot‘s latest styles?
For those who are new to AP, it is very classic, tailored, aristocratic, with ruffles and European rococo elements.
It has several stores – notably in La Foret, Harajuku, and Shinsaibashi, Osaka (see La Carmina’s post) – which carry a variety of related labels:Now in conjunction with Tenkai Japan, Atelier Pierrot can be bought outside of Japan, from a website in English (although there’s a Japanese webstore too). The Atelier Pierrot blog is a great resource for new items instore, as well as sales etc. See also the blogs for the Harajuku store, the Osaka store, and the Utsonomiya store.Tokyo Rebel in the US has been stocking Atelier Pierrot for over a year, so that’s a good place to shop if you’re in the US.
In other news, Japanese dark alternative band 6ft. down has a song ‘Fanatic for Rejection’ in which the vocalist Nao wears Atelier Pierrot. I like the sound, reminiscent of both Disturbed and Alice in Chains, but with a female singer. Take a look!
