Hot new designer Metallic Dreamer – divine statement neckpieces and harnesses

I just discovered this extremely fashion forward accessories designer, Metallic Dreamer, which I just LOVE.

Queensland designer Tanya Arlidge makes stunning creations mixing feathers, metal studs, chains, velvet, fringing, sequins and more. The collection comprises neck pieces, shoulder pieces and harnesses, all of which are hot stuff on the catwalks this year.

There’s the Quinn in this first pic, a statement neckpiece with urban tribal warrior overtones, gorgeously combining gold sequins and ostrich feathers. Then there’s Bronze Nights, with a similarly fierce yet feminine look. Draped chains, bronze studs and spiky feather trim take this out of the ordinary.

And how about the multi-fringed Emrys neckpiece.
Then there’s the longer neckpieces which tie around the body, harness style, like the Time for Time harness, Black Ceremony harness or Days of Thunder harness.

And it wouldn’t be 2010 without the statement epaulette, whether studded and feathered, or fringed.
Anyway, that’s a taster for you. For more, check out the Metallic Dreamer blog, and especially this post, for the sexy A/W 10 campaign with Bree Robertson.
Hot off the press: the range is now available at Trilby Phoenix, in Paddington.
